Faisalabad Customs Intelligence confiscates 800kg zeera

FAISALABAD: The Customs Investigation and Intelligence has seized 800 kilogram foreign Origin cumin seed (zeera) worth Rs 300,000.

A team of Customs Intelligence, following the instruction of Additional Director Azmah Tahira, conducted a raid near Kanal road, Faisalabad and recovered 20 bags filled with foreign origin zeera.

The accused person namely Allah Dad was asked to produce the legal documents showing the legal import of the items but he remained failed to do so.

Therefore, the team of Customs Intelligence confiscated the item, besides arresting the suspect.

The team comprising Senior Intelligence Officer Malik Javeed, Chaudhary Muhammad Saeed, Intelligence Officer Muhammad Saleem, Sepoys Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Ashraf Qureshi and others participated in the raid.
