Faisalabad Customs Intelligence earns Rs 15.3m through auction

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has collected Rs 15.348 million through auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods during June 2016.

According to the details, the Faisalabad Customs Intelligence organized two public auctions during the said period. It presented tyres, tubes, vehicles and heavy duty generators, welding rods, auto parts, kids’ suits, crane, solar panels, fans, cloth, and various LEDs in the auctions. All items were seized by the Customs Intelligence staff during the said period. During the auctions, eight vehicles and other miscellaneous items were successfully auctioned.

The participants also rejected various goods that will be presented again in next auction after the revision of prices. The auction was held through open bidding where everyone was given opportunity for the bidding of confiscated goods and vehicles.

Deputy Director Muhammad Riaz Hussian supervised the auction process to ensure transparency along with Superintendent Maher Muhammad Rafique and Senior Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir.
