Faisalabad Customs Intelligence impounds non-duty-paid Carry Wagon

FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Customs Intelligence and Investigation has impounded a non-duty-paid Suzuki Carry Station Wagon. The market value of the Carry Wagon is Rs 1 million involving customs duties and taxes of Rs 945500.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Intelligence team received a tip-off through Deputy Director Syed Ittrat Hussain regarding the Non-Duty-Paid vehicles plying on the roads of Faisalabad.

After receiving the tip-off, he immediately formed a raiding team comprising Superintendent Saleem Ullah, Intelligence Officer Muhammad Ramazan, Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Saddique and Sepoys Liaqat Ali, Israr Ahmed, Mussadaq Ahmed and Saif Ullah.

The Customs Intelligence team intercepted a Suzuki Carry Station Wagon with registration No: WAJ-870 (Quetta), Model 1995, near Chowk Sarai Muhajir, district Bhakkar.

The intelligence team asked the accused, identified as Aman Ullah son of Abdullah Khan, to produce the legal documents regarding the ownership of the wagon. But he failed to provide anything relevant. The higher authorities im[pounded the car and registered a case against the owner of the car.
