Faisalabad Customs Intelligence impounds truck worth Rs 4.5m

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has impounded a non-duty paid Hino Truck worth Rs 4.5 million involving customs duty of millions of rupees.

According to the details, Faisalabad Customs Intelligence Additional Director Azmat Tahira received information regarding the non-duty paid truck on which she formed a team to impound the truck.

The Customs Intelligence staff intercepted the truck bearing Registration No GZRA-1313 near Bypass Chowk Faisalabad Road, Chiniot and asked the driver named Muhammad Ilyas son of Muhammad Roshan to produced documents regarding the legal import of the truck but he remained failed to do the same. Therefore, the truck was impounded under Section 10-A, 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969

The team comprising Senior Intelligence Officer Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Naseer Ahmed, Sepoy Mukhtar Ahmed and Muhammad Iqbal participated in the raid.
