Faisalabad Customs Intelligence seizes 22,000 kg of smuggled polyethylene bags

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and investigation Faisalabad has seized 22,000 kilogram of polyethylene bags, besides impounding the truck being used as carrier worth Rs 2.99 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 1.11 million.

As per details, a Customs Intelligence team following credible information received through Additional Director Muhammad Ismail intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. C-1541 near Shah Kot, Sargodha loaded with polyethylene bags having weight 22,000 kg.

The team asked the accused Khana Gull to show the documents against the legal possession of the item, but he could not present such documents on which truck loaded with polyethylene bags was impounded on the violation of customs law.

The Customs Intelligence team including Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Inspector Mansoor khan, Saeed khan and Muhammad Sikander took part in action against smuggling.
