FAISALABAD: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad has seized foreign origin smuggled cinnamon (dall cheni) worth Rs 400,000 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 254,000.
As per details, customs intelligence on credible information received through Additional Director Muhammad Ismail conducted operation to fail the smuggling attempt in the region.
Customs intelligence team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir, Inspector Mansoor Khan and Mukhtar Ahmad intercepted a vehicle near Deputy Wala interchange Motorway Faisalabad and recovered smuggled dall cheni worth Rs 400,000.
Team asked the driver Muhammad Suleman to show the legal documents but he could not produce on which customs confiscated the smuggled item.
