FAISALABAD: Model Customs Collectorate, Faisalabad has jurisdiction over two civil divisions which comprise 12 districts covering an area of 46,000 kms. The Collectorate has excelled and outnumbered all Collectorates of the country in prevention of smuggling, especially seizure of vehicles in terms of value, cost, quality and number of seized vehicles.

During the current eight months from July, 2014 to February, 2015, the Collectorate seized 75 vehicles of latest and advanced models compared to 35 vehicles of old and outmoded models seized during corresponding period of last year which is matchless in the history of Faisalabad Customs.

The auction of the vehicles has fetched Rs 35 million so far. The remaining vehicles under adjudication are likely to yield Rs 50 million after completion of legal formalities. It is not out of place to mention here that Collectorate seized Toyota Land Cruiser Model 2014 manufactured in June, 2014. The market price of the vehicle is Rs. 23 million. This reflects commitment and untiring efforts of the customs staff posted in ant-smuggling wing.
