Faisalabad Customs releases consignments after receiving tax

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation released consignments worth Rs, 3,641,921 after receiving evaded amount of duty and taxes. The said consignments were detained during the month of April 2017.

According to details, the consignments released by the Customs Intelligence consist of foreign origin Boski cloth worth Rs119,328 auto parts worth Rs743,881 F/O tyres worth Rs221,990 AC compressor worth Rs222,925 cloth Rs 300,485 Sulphonic acid worth Rs467,314 foreign origin computer system worth Rs461,091 and auto parts Rs1,104,907.

Sources said that the said consignments were held by the Customs Intelligence due to evasion of customs duty worth Rs1,276,668, sales tax Rs777,126, income tax Rs 440,508 and redemption fine duty Rs 1,147,619 during April 2017.

The tax evasion was detected by team comprising Assistant director Syed ittrat Hussain Superintendent Zahid Raza Bukhari, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, sepoys Ajmal Hussain and Muhammad Musaddiq Ahmad.
