Faisalabad Customs seizes 3 liquor bottles at airport

FAISALABAD: The Customs Air Freight Unit (AFU) team recovered three bottles of foreign origin liquor worth Rs70000 from a passenger during routine at Faisalabad airport.

Following information Collector Mirza Mubashir Baig formed a special team under the supervision of AFU Shift in-charge Muhammad Ramzan Shahid.

The team intercepted a passenger namely Khuram Javed Lodhi, passport number: AB-8448033 who arrived at the airport from Bahrain through Gulf Air Flight No GFA-954.

The customs team asked the passenger to open the bag in the presence of two witnesses which led to the recovery of three bottles of foreign origin liquor of origin Black Label brand.

The authorities seized the liquor bottles under the contravention Section 2(S) read with SRO 566(1)/2005 Section 15 and 16 of the Customs Act 1969 and submitted a report to the Customs Adjudication.
