Faisalabad Customs seizes non duty paid motor oil

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation team seized non duty paid motor oil worth Rs6,894,289 involving customs duty and taxes Rs2,006,324.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Riaz Hussain received credible information regarding the smuggling of oil. He formed a raiding team comprising Senior Intelligence Officer Tahir Iqbal, Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad saleem, Muhammad Saddique Intelligence Officer and Sepoys Liaqat Ali, Shouqat Hayat, Muhammad Iqbal, Muzammil Hussain, Mussadaq Ahmed.

The customs team asked the driver namely Muhammad Hassan son of Yaar Muhammad having CNIC No, 54501-20990558 residential Gareeb abad to produce legal documents regarding possession of the oil but he failed to provide any relevant documents. The customs team seized the vehicle and registered a case against the accused person.
