Faisalabad Customs seizes smuggled Rani Juices

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized smuggled Rani Juices worth Rs 400,000 involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 220,000 during a crackdown.

Sources told Customs Today that Additional Director Azmat Tahira received information that a consignment of the foreign origin Rani Juice is being smuggled on which she constituted a team, comprising of Senior Intelligence Officer Zahid Saleem Mirza, Intelligence Officer Naseer Ahmed, sepoys Muhammad Khalil, Shoukat Hayat, Muhammad Shabaz and Israr Ahmed.

The customs team seized 200 crates of Rani Juice near Chenab Chowk Jhang Road, Faisalabad. It is pertinent to mention here that the juices were loaded on a rickshaw and was going to deliver a person named Shahzad.

The intelligence team asked the accused person to produce document regarding legal import of the items, but he remained failed to the same.

Therefore, the officials confiscated the juices and sent report to the adjudication for further legal action.
