Faisalabad Customs seizes smuggled rear tubes

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized smuggled used Rear Differential tubes for HTV. The market value of seized items is Rs 30,00,000 involving duty and taxes Rs 12,50,000. Besides impounded Mazda Mini truck to the tune of Rs 7,00,000.

Sources told Customs Today, that Deputy Director Customs Intelligence Rana Irfan Shouqat received credible information that foreign rear tubes are being smuggled after which she constituted a Customs team.  The seizure team was comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal,  Superintendent, Mohsin Raza Shah, Intelligence Officer Muhammad Nasrullah, Mansoor Nasir and Sepoys Abuzar Siddique, Hammadul Hassan, Muhammad Shahbaz, Shouqat Hayat.

The Customs team intercepted a Mazda bearing registration no:  LES 07-5118 Gatwala Toll Plaza Sheikhupura Road Faisalabad and recovered old and used rear differential tubes. It is pertinent to mention here that no one was turned up to claim the ownership of seized items. Customs team registered a case and started investigations.
