Faisalabad Excise collects Rs 50.6m as professional tax

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 50.671 million under the head of professional tax during first eight months of the current fiscal year and achieved its annual target of Rs 87.269 million up to 58 percent.

It collected Rs 39.695 from Faisalabad city against the assigned target of Rs 65.492, which has been achieved up to 61 percent. From Jhang, it generated Rs 4.256 as professional tax against the assigned target of Rs 8.937 million by achieving target up to 48 percent.

Meanwhile, the department collected Rs 2.302 million from Chiniot against the target of Rs 4.135 million. It achieved target up to 56 percent. The department collected Rs 4.418 million against the target of Rs 8.706 million from Toba Tek Singh and attained target up to 51 percent.
