Faisalabad Excise collects Rs 89.499m as property & Rs48.242m as motor tax during November

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 89.499 million in the wake of property tax and collected Rs 48.242 million under the head of motor tax during the month of November.

Sources told Customs Today that excise department collected Rs 80.375 million as property tax from Faisalabad during the above said period.

Similarly, excise collected Rs 2.35 million from Jhang against the assigned target of Rs 5.5 million. From Chiniot, it has generated Rs3.70 million achieving its target of Rs 5.63 million.

Toba Tek Singh region has been assigned Rs 7.1 million target   while it collected Rs 3.06 million. The excise and taxation department has formed teams to recover property tax from the defaulters.

The teams comprising Inspector Mohammad Shahid Gilani , Faisal Aziz , Mohammad Sadiq and other participate in action against the tax defaulters .

Meanwhile the motor branch of the Excise and Taxation department has collected Rs 48.242 million as motor tax during the month of the November. The excise department collected Rs 35.309 million from Faisalabad against the assigned target of Rs 60.71  while  from Jhang the excise department collected Rs 5.055 million against the assigned target of Rs 9.07  million.

Meanwhile, Chiniot motor branch has collected Rs 2.649 million against the target of Rs 3.05  million.

Similarly Toba Tek Singh motor branch has collected Rs 5.237 million against the assigned target 7.82.

The team of motor branch checked documents of the vehicle at different check points and seized the documents due to token tax default.
