Faisalabad Excise collects Rs 9.24m cotton fee in 6 months

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department has collected Rs 9.246 million under the head of cotton fee during the first six months of the current fiscal year.

As per details, the Punjab government has assigned a target of Rs 23.3 million in wake of cotton fee to Faisalabad Excise for the running fiscal year that has been achieved up to 40 percent in six months.

It has collected Rs 2.342 million from Faisalabad city by achieving 66 percent of its annual target that is Rs 3.57 million, while from Jhan, it has generated Rs 995,000 cotton fee and achieved its annual target of Rs 3.79 million up to 26 percent.

The Chiniot Excise teams has collected Rs 428,000 by achieving its yearly target up to 49 percent, while from Toba Tek Singh region, the excise has collected Rs 5.48 million by achieving its target up to 36 percent in six months.
