Faisalabad Excise collects Rs106.31m in December2016

FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Department collected Rs75.98 million in the head of property tax and Rs30.33 million in the head of motor tax during the month of December 2016.

According to details, the excise department collected Rs63.15 million as property tax from Faisalabad during the above said period. Whereas Rs4.31 million from Jhang against the assigned target of Rs5.5 million.

Sources said that the department collected Rs5.61 million from Chiniot against the assigned target of Rs5.63 million and Toba Tek Singh region collected Rs2.89 million against the assigned target of Rs7.1 million during the above said period.

Sources said that the excise and taxation department has formed teams comprising Inspector Muhammad Shahid Gilani, Faisal Aziz, Muhammad Sadiq and others to recover property tax from defaulters.

Meanwhile the motor branch of the excise and taxation department collected Rs30.33million under head of motor tax during the month of the December 2016.

The excise department collected Rs20.31 million from Faisalabad against the assigned target of Rs60.71 as for as collected Rs4.26 million from Jhang against the assigned target of Rs9.07 million. Chiniot motor branch collected Rs2.017 million against the assigned target of Rs3.05 million and Toba Tek Singh branch has collected Rs3.73 million against the assigned target of Rs7.82 million.
The excise and taxation staff also checked the vehicle in different areas and examined the valid registration of the vehicles. The excise staff issued tokens to the invalid registration holders as well as defaulters.
