FAISALABAD: The Excise and Taxation Motor Registration Authority has issued show-cause notices to as many as 30,500 token tax defaulters with the grace period of time seven days for the recovery of tax.
According to the excise officials, the motor branch has also formulated eight special recovery teams those are working in different areas of the city to take action against token tax defaulters, following the direction of Excise and Taxtion Director Muhammad Saeed Ahmad.
Sources said that the said special recovery teams were also seizing the document of the defaulter, adding that campaign against token tax defaulters to be continued in order to recover outstanding taxes.
