Faisalabad Excise seizes document of 45 token tax defaulter vehicles

FAISALABAD: Excise and Taxation Department’s Motor Branch Faisalabad in drive against the token tax defaulter vehicles has seized documents of 45 vehicles.

In the general holdup, the teams of Motor Branch checked documents of vehicles at different check posts and seized the documents on evasion of token tax.

As the current fiscal year entered last quarter, excise has speed up the revenue collection to meet the set target of this year 2014-15. By seizing the documents of vehicles, excise would recover revenue in wake of token tax from tax defaulters.

Excise Motor Registration Authority ETO Ilyas Bajwa said that the action against token tax defaulter will remain continue. He advised the vehicle holders to pay the due taxes to avoid legal actions. The Punjab government has ordered to conduct three day general holdup in a week.
