Faisalabad FIA arrests 33 human traffickers in December 2015

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered 90 cases including 41 cases against human smugglers, besides arresting 33 human traffickers during December, 2015.

Under the supervision of Assistant Director Chudhary Mazherullah, the FIA team comprising Sub-Inspector Tamoor Haidar, Abid Hussain Gul and Constable Khalid Hameed and others conducted various raids in the region.

As per details, the FIA lodges 41 cases under Emigration Ordinance, 1979 and 41 cases under the charges of human smuggling. The FIA’s Economic Crime Wing also detected three cases of corruption and recovered Rs 1.098 million in these cases.

Besides, the FIA arrested 33 human smugglers during the said period those are behind the bars and facing judicial trial.

Three accused persons named Kamran Azeem, Abdul Waris and Muhammad Khan were also arrested those were allegedly involved in using the illegal gateway exchange. The accused are also in jail as the cases have been registered against them.
