Faisalabad FIA arrests a human trafficker

Faisalabad FIA arrests a human trafficker

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a human trafficker Muhammad Ashraf son of Muhammad Ali a resident of Chak No: 494-GB Tandliawala Faisalabad during an action.

According to details, Deputy Director FIA Syed Imam Zaidi and Sub Inspector Taimoor Haider conducted a raid, on a complaint filed by Hakim Ali a resident of Tandlianwala, Faisalabad, along with FIA team and nabbed the accused. The accused was involved in sending innocent people abroad (especially Dubai) after extorting big amounts from them. The suspect extorted Rs1,45,000 from Hakim Ali.

Sources said that the FIA team recovered original and fake Pakistani passport from his possession. While checking of his mobile phones, the FIA team also found scanned copies of FIRs, affidavits, CNICs of various people, fake visa of Canada, labor demand for different countries, electronic tickets, bank transaction receipts, whatsapp conversation with different agents regarding employment visas for different countries.

The officials, after registering a case of human smuggling under Section (U/S) 17/22 of Immigration Ordinance 1979, sent the accused to jail. Further investigations are still in progress.
