FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human trafficker namely as Anwar son of Kala Masih who is resident of Darbyan Road, Shahkot.
Sources told Customs today that FIA Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi conducted a raid along with his Sub Inspector Muhammad Nadeem and arrested the accused who was running illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after extorting big amounts from them. The accused extorted Rs 350,000 from a complainant, Boota Masih for sending him to South Africa on employment visa. The accused; however, failed to fulfil his commitment.
The officials sent the accused behind bars after registering a case FIR No. 518/2016 dated November 17, 2016 against him under Section (U/S), 17/22 Immigration Ordinance (E.O) 1979.
