Faisalabad FIA arrests notorious human trafficker

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Faisalabad, has arrested a human trafficker namely Zaigam Hussain Alvi son of Ghulam Rasool during an action. The suspect is a resident of Hilalpura, Sahiwal.

Sources told Customs Today that FIA Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi and Sub-inspectors Taimoor Haider and Abbas Bajwa conducted a raid on the whereabouts of the accused person who was running an illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after extorting amounts from them. The accused also extorted Rs150000 from complainant Baber Haider for sending him to Spain.

The FIA also recovered original Pakistani passport and some copies of other passports from his possession. While checking the mobile phone of the accused, scanned copies of FIRs, affidavits, CNICs of different people, sticker visas of Spain, electronic tickets, bank transaction receipts and whatsapp conversation with different agents regarding employment visas for different countries were found.

The FIA sent the accused behind the bars after registering a case No-414/16 of human smuggling under Section (U/S), 17/22 Immigration Ordinance 1979. Further investigations are in progress.
