Faisalabad FIA arrests notorious human trafficker

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), has arrested a human trafficker namely Habibur Rahman son of Fiaz Mohammad during an action. The accused person belonged to  Kamalia.

Sources told Customs Today that FIA Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi and Sub-Inspectors Taimoor Haider and Abbas Bajwa conducted a raid on the whereabouts of the accused person who was running an illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after extorting amounts from them. The accused person  extorted Rs7,90,000 from his cousin to provide him employment in Malaysia.

The FIA also recovered original Pakistani passport and some copies of other passports from his possession. During checking mobile phone of the accused, scanned copies of FIRs, affidavits, CNICs of different people, electronic tickets, bank transaction receipts and whatsapp conversation with different agents regarding employment visas for different countries were found.

The FIA sent the accused behind the bar after registering a case of human smuggling under Section (U/S), 17/22 Immigration Ordinance 1979. Further investigations are in progress.
