Faisalabad FIA arrests notorious human trafficker

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Faisalabad has arrested a human trafficker named Shakoor Ahmed son of Zulfiqar Ahmed. The alleged accused belongs to Chak No: 288/GB,Toba Tek Singh.

Sources told Customs Today that FIA Deputy Director Syed Imam Zaidi and Sub-Inspectors Taimoor Haider and Abbas Bajwa conducted a raid on the den of the accused running an illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after gulling amounts from them. The accused also gulled Rs 350000 from a complainant for sending him to Malaysia.

The FIA recovered original Pakistani passport and some copies of other passports from his possession. The FIA found scanned copies of FIRs, affidavits, CNICs of different people, sticker visas of Malaysia, electronic tickets, bank transaction receipts and whatsapp conversation with different agents regarding the employment visas for different countries.

The FIA sent the accused behind the bars after registering a case no 77/2017 of human smuggling under Section (U/S), 17/22 Immigration Ordinance 1979.

Further investigations are underway.
