Faisalabad FIA captures human trafficker from Samundri

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a human trafficker from Samundri city during an action.

According to details, Deputy Director FIA Syed Imam Zaidi and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sohail Awan raided his residential place of Chak No: 139 G.B Sumandri and captured a human trafficker identified as Muhammad Shafiq.

The accused was running an illegal business of sending innocent people abroad after gulling big amounts from them.

Sources told Customs Today that Muhammad Shafiq was involved in several cases of defrauding innocent people and sending them abroad by using illegal and inhuman means. The FIA team recovered five Pakistani passports, fake stamp visas and two tickets on the spot. The accused gulled Rs167930 from complainant Ghulam Hussain, a resident of 463-G.B, Sumandri, Faisalabad, for overseas employment in Saudi Arabia but he failed.

The FIA officials, after registering a case No: 544/ 2016 of human trafficking sent the accused behind the bars under Section (U/S), 17/22 Immigration Ordinance (E.O) 1979.
