Faisalabad I&I impounds Mazda truck loaded with Bitumen

FAISALABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation team impounded a Mazda Mini truck of roof insulation Bitumen near Gutwala Toll Plaza during operation.

Sources told Customs Today that credible information was received about smuggling of Bitumen. The customs team enhanced checking on main entry and exit points of the City. The customs team intercepted a loaded with Bitumen and Consignments Coming from Karachi Port Qasim.

During the comprehensive inspection of the vehicle the customs team recovered smuggled goods. The team asked the importer namely Syed Ahmed Munir Urfi son of Syed Abdul to submit original import documents for the verification of said goods. The importer provided documents to the Customs team for verification while the investigations are still underway in this regard.

The officials shifted the loaded Mazda truck to the warehouse of Customs Intelligence and Investigation for examination to determine whether the recovered items are smuggled one or not.
