FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized a non- duty paid Honda City car worth Rs 2.5 million involving duty and taxes to the tune of Rs 1.5 million during road checking here.
Sources told Customs Today that the customs officials received secret information that a non-customs paid Honda City car bearing registration number LRL 2545 is plying on roads in Faisalabad city.
Soon after receiving the information, a customs team started examining documents of vehicles. The customs intercepted a Honda City car and asked its driver namely Muhammad Zafar to produce legal documents regarding the possession of vehicle but he failed to provide and relevant documents.
After his failure, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation team seized the vehicle and registered a case against its owner.
