Faisalabad I&I release consignments after getting duties & taxes

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation released the consignments worth Rs2726696 after receiving evaded amount of duties and taxes. The said consignments were intercepted during the month of June 2018.

Sources told Customs Today that the consignments were released by the Customs Intelligence and Investigation consisted of foreign origin goods which belonged to Muhammad Ashraf.

Sources said that the above mentioned consignments were impounded by the Customs Intelligence due to evasion of customs duty of Rs926759, sales tax of Rs879218, income tax of Rs474778 and redemption fine of Rs364117 during the month of June 2018.

The tax evasion was detected by the team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Iqbal, Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir, Sepoys Ajmal Hussain and Muhammad Musaddiq Ahmad.
