FAISALABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) has seized a large consignment of smuggled clothes worth Rs 110 million while the accused fled the scene.
According to details, Customs Intelligence in Faisalabad, while conducting a major operation in a secret warehouse in Jhang Bazaar, seized a large consignment of smuggled clothes. The total value of the seized clothes has said to be Rs110 million.
Customs officials said that customs duty of Rs 60 million was levied on the imported clothes has not been paid. The non-customs paid clothes had been brought through Afghan transit trade route. During the operation, the accused fled the scene.
All the smuggled clothes have been taken into the custody by the customs officials and further action will be taken against the accused.
