Faisalabad I&I seizes prohibited medicines

FAISALABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized foreign origin smuggled prohibited sexual Riga Sildenafile Citrate tablets of different brands worth Rs3.2 million during a successful raid.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Rana Irfan received information regarding smuggling of sexual medicine on which he formed a team comprising Superintendent Muhammad Tahir Intelligence Officers Ansar Saleemi, Saeed Hayat, Muhammad Arshad and Sepoys Liaqat Ali, Wasli Ali Haider, Naveed Akhtar and Asrar Ahmed.

The intelligence team raided near Imtiaz Super Store Sheikhupura Road and recovered foreign origin Rega 100 Sildenafile Citrate tablets 2 cartons made in India after cursory checking of the bundle on the road side. After seeing the government vehicle, the person standing near by the carton fled away.

Nobody came forward to claim the ownership of the recovered items at the spot. The intelligence staff seized sexual medicine and registered a case against unknown accused person. The seizure report was forwarded to customs adjudication for further legal action.
