Faisalabad I&I seizes smuggled generator vehicle

FAISALABAD: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Range Office seized a 38-KVA generator worth Rs13.5 million involving duty and taxes Rs10.5 million besides impounding the vehicle being used for transporting it worth Rs5,00,000.

Sources told Customs Today Customs I&I team intercepted the Mazda mini truck on suspicions near Saleemi Chowk Satiyana Road and recovered a generator of 38-KVA. Team asked the driver namely Muhammad Asad son of Muhammad Ashraf to produce the legal documents for having the legal possession of generator but he could not produce any kind of evidence in this regard.

The team seized the generator, vehicle and forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further legal action against the same accused person.
