FAISALABAD: The Motor Registration Authority has collected Rs 33 million during the first three weeks of January against the assigned target of Rs 49 million.
Sources told Customs Today that Excise and Taxation Officer Muhammad Afzal Goyaya and Assistnat Excise and Taxation Officer Mahir Mohammad Sajad formed special teams to check defaulter vehicles.
These special teams checked 1500 vehicles including motorbikes, cars and other private vehicles at Sheikhupura Road, Sargodha Road, Khuranwala Byepass, Khuranwala Toll Plaza, Samanabad, Jaranwala Road and others place to check token tax defaulters vehicles. Sources said that excise teams also detained 1200 vehicles for not showing valid documents during the same period in January.
