FAISALABAD: Regional Tax Office has recovered Rs 150 million from the two central defaulters of a tax fraud case.
According to details, a tax office team nabbed two brothers Muhammad Akram and Muhammad Arshad, who are accused of Rs 440 million tax fraud case.
According to tax officers, Muhammad Akram and Muhammad Arshad were accused of stealing the tax with fake invoice. The two defaulters had to pay Rs 440 million. On this, a case was registered and they were arrested. During investigation, Rs 150 million was recovered from the defaulters. The accused appealed to the Lahore High Court for bail which was accepted and they were released after submission of Rs 100 million ‘bonds’.
Assistant Commissioner Investigation Muhammad, Bilal Ahmad and Tariq Mehmood, supervised the drive against the defaulters to recover tax money.
