Faisalabad RTO collects Rs 2,042 million during July: Shad Mohammad

ISLAMABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) collected a revenue of Rs 2,042 million against the assigned target of Rs 1,524 during the first month of the fiscal year 2016-17.

Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Faisalabad Shad Mohammad Khan told Customs Today that there are 2,00,000 NTN holders residing in Faisalabad among who 60,000 submits their tax returns. He said that there are 900 corporate offices and their jurisdiction falls to Jhang, Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh. He said that a number of tax payers are also residing in these areas.

He said, “We are considering expanding the jurisdiction of Faisalabad region.” Shad Mohammad Khan said that RTO Faisalabad is extending full support and cooperation to tax payers. He said that RTO officials are trying their best to satisfy taxpayers from their services.

He said that taxpayers are backbone of national economy because these revenue will be spend on betterment of our people. He said that this is our duty to deposit tax as per our income. He said that RTO authorities is going to adopt comprehensive strategy to decrease the gap between tax authorities and tax payers.
