FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) has collected 57 tax return to the tune of Rs 6.753 million under Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) during the last 15 days of March.
Sources told Customs Today that after launching the miscellaneous public campaign in Faisalabad Region and other cities, including Jhang and Toba Tek Sing, the RTO received 57 tax returns from small businessmen, local traders and shopkeepers.
Commissioner Inland Revenue Dr. Muhammad Akram Khan has said that RTO Faisalabad is running massive campaign in order to make success this scheme in the his jurisdiction. But the results are not fruitful so far due to lack of interest in the the scheme by traders.
