Faisalabad RTO surpasses target of Q1 by Rs 1.3b

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) surpassed the revenue collection target by Rs 1.303 billion, as it collected Rs 8.364 billion against the assigned target of Rs 7.061 billion during first quarter of the fiscal year 2016-17.

Faisalabad RTO Chief Commissioner Shad Muhammad appreciated the performance of the staff in collection of revenue during the said period. The department generated taxes under the head of income tax, sales tax and federal excise duty (FED).

As per details, the RTO collected Rs 4591.48 million under the head of income tax against the set target of Rs 5970.9 million. It also generated Rs 3739.16 million as sales tax against the assigned target of Rs 985.5 million, besides collecting Rs 34.287 million in the wake of FED against assigned target of Rs 105.5.

The chief commissioner has also ordered commissioners and additional commissioner of all zones to achieve the revenue targets under all heads by the end of running fiscal year.
