Faisalabad RTO’s Zone-I collects Rs 540 million in January

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office’s (RTO) Zone-I has collected Rs 540 million under the heads of different taxes during January, 2016.

Talking to Customs Today, Zone-I Commissioner Muhammad Azam Sheikh said his department has collected Rs 525.78 million under the head of sales taxes. He elaborated that unit-I generated Rs 203.63 million, unit-II collected Rs 110.19 and the unit-III has collected Rs 211.96 million. The units are subordinates to the zone.

He further said that his zone has collected Rs 14.8 million in the wake of federal excise duty. The unit-I collected Rs 14.77 million, unit-II collected no FED, while the unit-III collected Rs 30,000 during the said period.

Sheikh said that the Faisalabad RTO was striving to recover taxes in order to meet the target, adding that he was optimistic to not only achieve the target but also for surpassing it.
