FBR allows zero-rating on gas, electricity to industrial units

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has granted sales tax zero-rating on supply of gas and electricity to different industrial units.

The FBR, exercising powers conferred by clause (d) of section 5 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, read with SRO 1125(1)/2011 dated 31.12.2011, made amendments in its Sales Tax General Order No 09 of 2007 dated September 13, 2007 for giving zero-rating facility on gas and electricity.
