FBR amends SRO 488(I)/2004 after Federal Minister’s nod

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Friday amended SRO 488(I)/2004 after taking approval from the Federal Minister-in-charge.

According to the notification issued on Friday, the FBR, exercising the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) and sub-section (6) of Section 8 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, has directed that in its notification no SRO 488(I)/2004, dated the 12th June, 2004, the following further amendment shall be made and deemed always to have been so made, namely:-

In the aforesaid notification, clause (ba) shall be omitted subject to the condition that no refund or adjustment of sales tax under this omitted clause shall be admissible.
