FBR amends SRO 488(I)/2004 after Federal Minister’s nod

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Friday amended SRO 488(I)/2004 after taking approval from the Federal Minister-in-charge.

According to the notification issued on Friday, the FBR, exercising the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) and sub-section (6) of Section 8 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, has directed that in its notification no SRO 488(I)/2004, dated the 12^th June, 2004, the following further amendment shall be made and deemed always to have been so made, namely:-

In the aforesaid notification, clause (ba) shall be omitted subject to the condition that no refund or adjustment of sales tax under this omitted clause shall be admissible.

This notification shall come into force with effect from the 1^st day of July, 2018.
