FBR announces promotions of PCS officers to BS-20 & BS-21

ISLAMABAD:  The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced the promotions of officers from the Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) to positions in BS-20 and BS-21.

The following BS-20 officers of the Pakistan Customs Service have been promoted to BS-21 on a regular basis, effective immediately:

Afghan route closure weighs on Pakistan-Central Asia trade, exports fall 9%, imports plunge 88%

Officers who are currently posted in BS-21 positions on OPS will see their promotions take effect in their respective roles. For instance, the officer at Sr. No. 2 will actualize her promotion based on Board’s Notification No. 2096-C-I/2023 dated August 9, 2023.

Additionally, the following BS-19 officers of the Pakistan Customs Service have been promoted to BS-20 on a regular basis, effective immediately:

1. Ghulam Mustafa

2. Junaid Ahmed Memon

3. Ms. Sameera Sheikh

4. Ms. Mehreen Naseem

5. Ms. Saadia Sheeraz

6. Muhammad Haris Ansari

7. Dr. Karam Elahi

8. Syed Ali Abbas Gardezi

9. Syed Imran Sajjad Bokhari

10. S. M. Ali Zaman Gardezi

11. Muhammad Arshad Khan

12. Muhammad Asif

13. Ms. Ayesha Bashir Wani

14. Naveed Iqbal

15. Rehmatullah Vistro

Officers holding OPS-based positions in BS-20 will realize their promotions while staying in their current roles. The officers mentioned at Sr. No. 1, 2, and 13 will actualize their promotions upon returning from deputation, as per Para 5(5) of the Civil Servants Promotion (BPS-18 to BPS-21) Rules, 2019 issued through SRO 1493(1)/2019 dated December 3, 2019.

The officer at Sr. No. 3 will actualize her promotion based on Board’s Notification No. 2097-C-I/2023 dated August 9, 2023. Officers currently receiving performance allowance before the issuance of this notification will continue to receive the allowance upon their promotion.
