Business community regularly paid all the applicable taxes including sales, excise duty, income and professional tax, infrastructure development cess and EOBI etc., he added He claimed that FPCCI had been receiving complaints from the existing taxpayers about the attitude of the staff of Inland Revenue. He noted that frequent raids on business premises and offices while unnecessary audit notices had sending the wrong signal.

FBR Chairman Dr Muhammad Irshad should direct the concerned staff not to annoy the business community. The FPCCI president said that the FBR chairman had recently announced end to the raids for one month which must be followed. He observed that the revenue target could only be achieved when finding new taxpayers was kept on the priority.
