FBR asked to evolve business-friendly policies

LAHORE: The Traders Association of Pakistan central president has said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) needs to evolve business-friendly policies in order to increase revenue as well as volume of business activities.

He said this while addressing a meeting at his office in Urdu Bazaar Lahore.

He said that if the FBR develops business-friendly policies, it will help the board to collect as much revenue as it wants to run the affairs efficiently.

He said that seizure of businessmen’s accounts to recover tax forcefully was an unwelcome step.

He added that businessmen were not tax evaders and were ready to pay their dues for the uplift of the country.

Meanwhile, he also urged the board to overcome the menaces of smuggling, which is hitting hard the local industry.
