R&A to take all stakeholders on board before implementing Form-I

KARACHI: Following the directives of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Directorate of Reforms and Automation (R&A) has called on all stakeholders, including the representatives of business community, clearing agents, importers and traders to have a final consultation over the implementation of Form-I in business affairs.

According to details, the Directorate of Reforms and  Automation has called a meeting of all the stakeholders on Monday (13-June) for consultation over the working of the new Import Module.

The sources confirmed that the working on implementation of Form-I has been completed up to the extent of 90 percent and the FBR authorities concerned have decided to take all stakeholders into confidence before implementation of newly launched Import Module i.e. Form-I.

It is pertinent to mention here that the R&A authorities have already consulted with the authorities of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and all other commercial banks over the working of Form-I into import business while the authorities have also decided to start the newly launched Import Module as pilot-project by the end of this current month.
