FBR assigns revenue collection task of Rs11.32b to RTO

MULTAN: Federal Board of Revenue assigned revenue collection task of almost Rs11.32 billion to Regional Tax Office for the month of December 2018-19.

Sources told Customs Today that the Federal Board of Revenue has given a huge revenue collection task to Regional Tax Office Multan for the sixth month (December) of the existing economic year 2018-19. The Regional Tax Office has been assigned Rs6.73 billion target in wake of income tax collection from Federal Board of Revenue for the duration of December in the existing financial year 2018-19.

The Federal Board of Revenue has allotted the collection target of Rs4.53 billion under the head of sales tax (ST) to Regional Tax Office for December.

The Regional Tax Office assigned revenue collection target under the head of federal excise duty of almost Rs 46 million during the month of December.

Sources told that Regional Tax Office is facing a huge shortfall of approximately Rs 8 billion during the first five months of the current fiscal year 2018-19.
