ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), after the successful talks with traders, has decided to extend the last date of tax submission for another month. The exact date will be announced with the amnesty package for traders.
Sources told Customs Today that It is expected FBR could extend the last date for tax submission to January 31 from current last date of December 31, 2015. As majority of traders have not yet submitted their tax returns, FBR has decided to extend submission date after the talks with trader representatives. Trader associations assured FBR that they will make it possible for thousands of non-filer to submit their tax returns if board announces an amnesty scheme for traders. The FBR chairman, with the consent of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, has decided to extend the date and informed traders.
