ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has banned the entry of visitors until further orders. Deputy Chief Security Officer (budget) Dr Syed Farooq Jameel issued a notification in this regard.
According to the circular, the FBR took this decision due to hectic schedule of the FBR officials and staff members for preparation of upcoming budget of 2016-17. Sources said that important documents are being prepared nowadays, so the FBR has decided to ban all kind of visitors to make sure their secrecy.
Sources said that only those visitors will be allowed to entry who will be invited by the FBR chairman, Members FBR and other director generals. The special visitors will have to inform the FBR reception desk prior to their visit. In case of cancellation scheduled meeting, the staff of the FBR officials will inform the reception desk in advance.
