ISLAMABAD: As the federal government is planning to present the budget for fiscal year 2015-16 in parliament on May 29 instead of June, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has banned the transfer/posting of officials to continue the budget preparation process uninterruptedly.

Sources informed Customs Today that all chief collectors, collectors, chief commissioners and commissioners of field formation offices have been directed not to transfer any employee until the budget 2015-16 is prepared. They added that an official notification in this regard would be issued within the next two days.

They informed that it was also expected that the ban on transfer/posting would remain effective until the announcement of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, adding that it might be prolonged until the budget is approved by parliament.

The purpose of this ban is to continue departmental work in the preparation of budget proposal for fiscal year 2015-16 with full concentration.

The Administration member has directed all officers to follow the instruction regarding the transfer and posting strictly.
