ISLAMABAD: In view of heavy engagements of senior officers in the Budget exercise and to ensure secrecy of the budget proposals, Federal Board of Revenue has banned entry of visitors in FBR House with immediate effect.
According to the circular issued on Tuesday, only visitors of the Chairman/Members/DGs will be allowed to enter the FBR House. However, they must have prior appointments and such appointments are already intimated to the reception desk, it added.
In case a confirmed meeting/appointment of any visitor is rescheduled or cancelled for any reason, the concerned PS/PA will be responsible to intimate the same to the receptionist well in time, the circular said.
It may be mentioned here that imposition of this ban on visitors in such a scenario is a normal practice, which has been witnessed during the past few years.
