FBR chairman to take action against employees using political pressure for postings

SIALKOT: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan has decided to take action against those employees who use political pressure for their transfers and deputations against the rules and regulations.

Sources told Customs Today  that it has been clearly mentioned in the service book of the FBR that using political pressure for transfer and posting is illegal and punishable under relevant clause.

Sources told that various officials of FBR and it’s sister concern departments are trying to use political pressure for deputations and transfers. Sources said that to thwart this attempt the FBR has appointed honest and dedicated persons on high positions to control such attempts of illegal means.  Sources told that the FBR has decided to take action against those employees who are using political pressure for their transfer and deputation.

This step has been taken to further improve the efficiency of the department and bring honest persons to the top positions to make the right decision at right time. Sources told that the chairman FBR has cleared that he will clean the FBR and it’s sister concern departments from corrupt officials according to service laws and rules and regulations soon. Sources told that the chairman FBR is not ready to listen any political recommendation and pressure for the purpose of transfer, posting and deputation because he is fully against the political recommendations and pressure for this purpose.
