FBR chairman distributes certificates among probationary officers

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Tariq Bajwa attended certificates’ distribution ceremony here at Regional Tax office Lahore on Saturday.

A closing ceremony of 41th Special Training Programme was arranged to distribute the certificates and degrees among the probationary officers on successful completion of their training programme at Inland Revenue Directorate of Training Lahore.

Chairman Bajwa was chief guest of the ceremony who appreciated the officers on completion of their training. Sources said, chief commissioners, commissioner, additional commissioners and deputy commissioners from RTO-I, II and LTU Lahore attended the ceremony. They said that Bajwa urged the probationary officers to perform their duties with honesty after getting the permanent posts.

Sources also informed matter regarding revenue shortfall was also discussed in the meeting. Bajwa has pushed top officials of regional offices for achieving the set target of current fiscal year as the FBR could not achieve even 50 percent of the set target Rs 2810 billion for fiscal year 2014-15 during seven months (July-January).
